Privacy Policy

Overview

WordGrid ("we," "our," or "the app") is a word puzzle game developed by Federico Toledo for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information is collected when you play WordGrid, who it's shared with, and how it's used.

We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, or any information you type yourself. All puzzle progress is stored locally on your device.

Information collected

WordGrid itself does not collect personal information directly. However, the third-party services integrated into the app may collect certain data automatically:

Puzzle progress, settings, and completed puzzle records are stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us.

Advertising

WordGrid is free to play and displays ads powered by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your advertising identifier and device data to show you personalized or contextual ads.

On iOS 14.5 and later, the app will ask for your permission before accessing your IDFA via the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may deny this permission — the app will continue to function and will serve non-personalized ads instead.

You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:

For more on how Google uses data from apps that use its services, visit policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

In-app purchases

WordGrid offers optional in-app purchases (remove ads, hints, skips) processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. All billing is handled directly by Apple or Google under their respective terms and privacy policies.

Purchase verification and restore functionality is powered by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an anonymized user identifier and your purchase receipt to validate entitlements. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details.

Third-party services

The following third-party services are integrated into WordGrid. Each has its own privacy policy:

Data retention

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Local progress data on your device is retained until you delete the app or clear its data through your device settings. Data held by third-party services is subject to their own retention policies.

Children

WordGrid is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service integrated into this app, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal data collected by third-party services used in this app — including the right to access, correct, or delete that data. Please refer to each service's privacy policy (listed above) for how to exercise those rights.

For any privacy-related questions or concerns about WordGrid specifically, contact us at toledofederico11@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
